Optimization of the work of banks with illiquid real estate

Over the past 5 years, due to the crisis in the economy, the balance of banking structures replenished with a large number of real estate objects that were received as a collateral, with the help of which our compatriots ensured the return of borrowed funds. According to most domestic experts, for this period of time, such property in banking structures is an illiquid asset, since there is a high degree of probability of changes in value to these objects.

As a result, the prevailing majority of banking structures that own such real estate faced the issue of finding new and more efficient means to work with low-liquid assets and problem loans. Such a need is primarily due to the variety of segments, as well as the high variability of the Ukrainian regions at the location of objects (production facilities, warehouse, office and residential).
