How to choose an electric kettle, electric kettle

An electric kettle is perhaps one of the most frequently used items that we use in our kitchen. After all, it is really very convenient, unlike ordinary kettles: neither you put it on the stove, constantly light the stove, nor you run and check every minute whether the water is boiled or not. And, moreover, you do not need to wait so long – because the water in an electric teapot can boil in just three minutes!

But, as it turned out, with an electric kettle, you can get even more problems and troubles than with ordinary teapots. But you can get rid of all of them very quickly – if you choose the right thing from the very beginning and buy an electric kettle. And we will be happy to help you.

First, select the material from which your future kettle will be made. After all, there are several of them:

– The heat -resistant glass allows you to maintain the taste of tea, since, unlike many other materials, it does not emit any substances when heated that could affect the taste of water and tea itself. But, in addition to dignity, heat -resistant glass has a disadvantage: it beats very easily.

– Plastic – teapots made from it, much cheaper than teapotes made of heat -resistant glass or metal. In addition, plastic teapots often have very original designs, so you can match the teapot to any interior of your kitchen.

– Metal is considered the most durable and strong material, so there is no doubt that a kettle made of metal will last a long time. But the surface of metal teapots heats up very quickly, and besides, they often leak.

Secondly, pay attention to the fact that electric kettle discs have the disadvantage of rusting very quickly, so choose a kettle with a stainless metal disc.

An electric kettle must have at least 1000 watts of power if you don’t want to wait forever for the water to boil. A kettle with such power can boil a liter of water in just 8 minutes, but if the power of the kettle is 2000 W, then you will have to wait not 4, but even 3-3.5 minutes!

Choose a kettle with a large volume of water so as not to drive it several times just to drink tea for your whole family. Optimal displacement – 1.5-2 liters.

And finally: the filter that every electric kettle has. It is necessary in order for water to be cleansed of scale and various particles that contain. The filter should be large and easily removed from the kettle – for washing.
