What will be discussed at the meetings of the President with delegations of the ECO countries
As the press reported, an ECO summit is planned for November this year. This was known in January 2023, during a meeting between Mirziyoyev and Mr. Noziri.
It was planned for November to resolve important issues relating not only to Uzbekistan, but also to the Organization. These are questions in the area:
- agriculture and farming;
- tourism and other equally important areas.
Along with the above, in January of this year, points of interaction and ways to further strengthen ties and bring them to a higher and more productive level were actively discussed.
The parties noted a significantly increased percentage of trade transactions carried out by Uzbekistan with the ECO, which reached 70%. The number of joint ventures has increased fivefold.
This event, held in Tashkent, was attended by not only a representative of the ECO countries, but also ministers of other states: the Republic of Turkey, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, and the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The main topic of the conversations was mutually beneficial cooperation, strengthening and expanding political and economic ties. Much attention was paid to transport and logistics.
