When ironing clothes, observe the following rule – the thinner the fabric of the product that you are ironing, the thicker the bedding should be for ironing it. Do not put freshly ironed linen in the closet, let it cool down a little for about an hour, otherwise it may wrinkle again.

Large items – duvet covers, tablecloths, sheets will be easier for you to iron if you first fold them in half and iron them first on the outside, and only then on the inside.

Many experienced housewives know that it is easier to iron underdone clothes than overdry ones. If it happens that you have to iron overdried items, sprinkle them with a little water or use the steam function in your iron.

It is better not to iron silk clothes too often, otherwise it may deform and change its color.

It is also necessary to iron wool products with care, especially if they are patterned. Iron them through a wet cloth or gauze, without pressing hard on the iron so as not to deform the product. If you’re worried about the color fastness of your favorite wool sweater or elegant tunic, before ironing, moisten them from the front with a cloth that has been soaked in warm water with a little vinegar added to help preserve their color.

Especially carefully it is necessary to iron products made of synthetic fabrics and lace. Make sure that when ironing such delicate fabrics, the temperature of your iron is not high – it should be warm, not hot.
