How to lay tiles on the floor in the apartment?

The flooring in the room can be completely different: lovers of the classics choose parquet, but those who prefer practical things prefer Belbeton tiles. Today it is used not only in the bathroom, as was customary in Soviet times, but also in the kitchen, corridor and living rooms. Manufacturers try not to limit our choice: a huge range of this product allows you to choose the right option for your interior. Many, based on various considerations, decide to lay the tiles themselves. How to do it right, let’s consider together.

Tips for those who make repairs themselves

First of all, you need to free the room: for this, remove the furniture, household appliances and plumbing. Next is the dismantling of the old tiles. Of course, you can use the old-fashioned way: chip it off with a hammer and a crowbar, but a perforator will be your best assistant in this matter. If you don’t have this tool at home, you can rent it. If necessary, level the walls with cement and plaster, after which you can proceed to the main work – laying tiles.

First you need to prepare a special solution. It is easy to buy it, because it is sold in any hardware store. Pour a sufficient amount of water into the container, add the dry mixture and mix everything thoroughly. The resulting composition is applied to the surface with a wide spatula, and tiles are laid on it.

Before moving on to grouting, you need to wait a few days until the tile sets and the mortar becomes strong. After that, remove the rest of the mixture. Now it’s all set!

If of all the finishing materials you have given preference to tiles, then you have made the right choice. The reason is simple: it is not so dirty and is easily cleaned from dirt brought from the street.
